11 days and Ginger seems to be starting to emerge from her newborn stupor. She has more periods of quiet awakefullness and has started to be a little fussy! But we can't complain, she doesn't cry much, is easy to soothe when she does, and sleeps quite solidly.
Graciela (John's mom) came on Thursday and is very impressed by what a beautiful grandchild she has!
After 9 days of nesting with Ginger, I suddenly realized I desperately needed to get out of the house and DESPERATELY needed to get to those amazing buttermilk pancakes at Coastal Kitchen that I was unable to eat because I was in labor. So we took Graciela and went with Ginger on her first carseat adventure and she didn't mind the car seat, loved the moby wrap, and let me eat all my breakfast.
I think she was excited too since pancakes were the last thing she ate before all she got was breast milk- not as exciting! We had the same waiter and he was delighted to see that in fact those grimaces I was making on Feb 14th were not about the food and I was able to clean my plate. He tolerated our request for photos as well....
